About the role

Easy Skill is currently looking for a senior Pre-commissioning / Commissioning Manager to support a major energy project in Sines, Portugal .

The assignment will focus on the preparation and start-up of two strategic industrial units:

• an HVO / biofuel unit ;

• an electrolyser unit for hydrogen production .

This is a key site-based role for an experienced commissioning professional able to coordinate field activities, manage interfaces and support the transition from construction to pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up.

Key responsibilities

As Pre-commissioning / Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring pre-commissioning and commissioning activities on site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• leading and coordinating pre-commissioning / commissioning activities;

• preparing and following up commissioning sequences and priorities;

• managing interfaces between construction, engineering, vendors, operations and project teams;

• reviewing procedures, checklists, completion dossiers and handover documentation;

• monitoring system and subsystem readiness;

• identifying risks, blockers and critical path activities;

• supporting planning and progress reporting;

• participating in commissioning coordination meetings;

• ensuring compliance with HSE, quality and project requirements;

• supporting the safe and efficient preparation of the units for start-up.

Required profile

We are looking for a senior commissioning professional with strong field experience on complex industrial projects.

You should have proven experience in one or several of the following environments:

• Oil & Gas;

• refinery / downstream;

• petrochemical;

• biofuel / HVO;

• hydrogen;

• LNG;

• energy transition projects;

• large process plants.

Required skills and experience

• Significant experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning or start-up management.

• Strong understanding of mechanical completion, system completion and handover processes.

• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams on site.

• Good understanding of process units, utilities, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control systems.

• Strong HSE culture.

• Ability to work in an international project environment.

• Good reporting and communication skills.

• Fluent English is required.

• Portuguese would be a plus but is not mandatory.
