- Serves as a technical leader and role model within the engineering organization
- Shapes technical direction for complex systems and ensures scalable, maintainable architectures
- Leads initiatives that impact multiple teams and domains across the M&S Accelerator
- Identifies leverage points to unlock exponential productivity gains for the organization
- Owns technical decisions for critical projects, ensuring delivery on deadlines and quality standards
- Anticipates challenges and proactively resolves bottlenecks
- Works across teams to align execution with organizational strategy and priorities
- Balances pragmatism with technical excellence to accelerate delivery
- Ensure data-driven decision-taking
- Designs and builds robust software solutions for research workflows and data analysis
- Establishes and enforces technical standards, patterns, and best practices across teams
- Develops deep expertise in cloud-native systems, microservices, APIs, and security
- Champions CI/CD, DevOps principles, and cloud infrastructure as code
- Mentors senior engineers, enabling them to take on greater ownership and leadership
- Promotes a culture of engineering excellence, knowledge sharing, and innovation
- Encourages open dialogue where team members feel safe to share ideas and learn from mistakes
- Contributes to talent growth by participating in hiring and career development
- Acts as a bridge across engineering, product, and scientific teams to ensure alignment and results
- Advocates for best engineering practices and drives adoption across domains
- Collaborates with peers and leaders to shape technical strategy for the Accelerator
- Represents engineering in discussions with external partners and vendors
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication in English

- Significant experience in software engineering (or equivalent knowledge). If you feel qualified, apply regardless of years of experience!
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is a plus
- Experience in an innovative, fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring senior engineers
- Experience in JavaScript / TypeScript (Node.js)
- Experience in React or similar frameworks
- Proficiency with CI/CD practices and modern DevOps principles
- Proficiency with microservice architectures, API design, and cloud security best practices
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar) with experience in one or more of the major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
