About the Team

You will join a multidisciplinary team working at the intersection of AI, computational science, and engineering simulation within Keysight’s Design Engineering Software organization.

The team focuses on exploring and delivering AI-driven capabilities that enhance virtual engineering workflows , enabling customers to design, simulate, and validate complex systems faster. We collaborate closely with product teams, domain experts, and the central AI organization to prototype, productize, and scale innovative AI solutions integrated into Keysight’s engineering software portfolio.

The role is based in one of our international product development centers in Paris, Lyon, or Frankfurt , where teams work collaboratively across locations in a highly technical and research-driven environment.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and hands-on AI Innovation Engineer to help shape the next generation of AI capabilities in our engineering software products.

In this role, you will prototype AI-driven solutions, design agent-based workflows, and help transition promising ideas into production-ready features used by engineers worldwide. You will operate at the intersection of AI experimentation and real-world product delivery , collaborating with software engineers, AI specialists, and domain experts to build scalable and impactful solutions.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy turning AI concepts into working systems , exploring emerging technologies such as LLM-powered assistants, engineering agents, and physics-informed machine learning , and bringing them into real production environments.

• Design and prototype AI-driven solutions and demonstrators , including LLM-based assistants, engineering agents, and physics-informed machine learning models integrated with engineering software.

• Develop agent workflows and tool integrations using APIs, plugins, and modern agentic frameworks.

• Transform promising prototypes into production-ready software features ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

• Build AI-powered interfaces and APIs that allow internal teams and end users to leverage AI capabilities effectively.

• Deploy and operate AI solutions in cloud or hybrid environments using containerization technologies.

• Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and domain experts to integrate AI solutions into existing products.

• Support internal teams by sharing best practices, co-developing AI solutions, and accelerating AI adoption across projects .

• Work closely with the central AI organization to align with shared architectures, tools, and governance practices.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics , or equivalent practical experience.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience , including delivering AI-enabled applications into production environments.

• Strong programming skills in Python and experience using modern AI/ML frameworks .

• Experience building APIs or developer tools that expose AI capabilities to users or other systems.

• Experience deploying applications in cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Docker or similar container technologies .

• Strong communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively in an international, cross-functional environment.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience applying AI to scientific, engineering, or simulation-driven problems .

• Familiarity with LLM systems , including prompt engineering, tool usage, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

• Experience integrating AI capabilities into production software products .

• Exposure to agentic AI systems or orchestration frameworks .

• Experience working with engineering simulation or CAE tools in areas such as mechanical simulation, manufacturing processes, or multiphysics modeling.

• Interest in emerging AI technologies and the ability to quickly evaluate and prototype new approaches.
