Vice President, Project Management & Engineering

As Vice President, Project Management & Engineering , you will be at the heart of this ambition. You will set the standard for how major projects are conceived, structured, and delivered across global operations. You will provide the strategic vision and hands-on guidance that enable the business to deliver projects safely, reliably, and with maximum value — from early-stage studies through to full execution.

But this role goes beyond oversight: you are a change-maker, embedding a consistent, best-in-class project culture across the Group. You will elevate the capabilities of study and project delivery teams worldwide, ensuring that the right governance, processes, and mindsets are in place to turn ambitions into results. With a portfolio spanning multiple geographies and industrial business lines, you will challenge the status quo, influence key decisions, and inspire a proactive, innovative, and delivery-focused culture.

Your Responsibilities:

• Guide and support Project Studies delivering value optimization & clear objectives.

• Maintain high levels of engineering & project delivery excellence.

• Ensure transparent and effective project governance & reporting.

• Add value and reduce delivery risk through coordinating effective project reviews.

• Implement robust project documentation & knowledge management processes.

• Drive project delivery process improvement & standards development.

• Project portfolio management & prioritization.

About You:

• Education: Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (required). An advanced degree or project management certification (PMP, PMI, or equivalent) is a distinct advantage.

• Experience & Expertise: 20+ years of progressive experience in project management and engineering in an international environment.

• Track Record: Proven success in delivering large, complex capital projects in industrial sectors (mining, metals, chemicals, energy, or heavy industry strongly preferred).

• Leadership: Demonstrated experience engaging with executive leadership and board-level stakeholders.

• Technical Mastery: In-depth expertise across the full project lifecycle: from early-stage studies, engineering, and FID through to execution, controls, commissioning, ramp-up, and completion.

• Strategic Vision: Strong knowledge of project governance, capital allocation, risk management, and portfolio management principles.
